Your body stops producing hormones at menopause

Hormones are constantly produced and travel throughout your body for your entire life. Your ovaries stop producing estrogen in menopause, but they still have testosterone which converts into estrogen in body fat. Estrogen production reduces as you age but varies in each woman.

    Menopause is awful

Menopause is a natural phase in your womanhood, just like pregnancy or menstruation. You can have a wonderful feeling during menopause, like living an active life or enjoying the free menstruation phase, which is a distractive process in some women. Hormone replacement therapy is meant to supplement the decreasing hormones in your body. The process is only unsafe when specialists use synthetic hormones, and the treatment is done by an untrained professional or not appropriately managed by your doctor.
